The Program Advisor supports prospective students through the inquiry, application, and admissions stages for programs within the University of Fredericton. This role involves proactive outreach, advising on program and admissions requirements, collecting documentation, and helping applicants overcome barriers and objections to furthering their education. The Program Advisor plays a key role in enrollment success by fostering strong relationships and delivering a high level of personalized service.

Student Outreach & Advising
- Engage with prospective students via phone, email, and video to advise on academic programs, admissions requirements, tuition, and funding options.
- Support applicants through the inquiry, application, and enrollment process, ensuring a personalized and professional experience.
- Meet or exceed individual enrollment targets and contribute to team success.
Enrollment & Admissions Support
- Meet or exceed assigned monthly and quarterly new student enrollment targets.
- Evaluate applicant fit based on admissions criteria and career goals.
- Collect and pre-assess application documents, including resumes, transcripts, and transfer credit requests, ensuring readiness for admissions review.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Liaise with internal departments (Student Services, Admissions, Finance) to ensure smooth handoff and resolution of any enrollment issues.
- Identify barriers to admission and refer students to appropriate support or testing (e.g., language assessments, credential evaluations).
Presentation & Communication
- Deliver online program presentations
- Maintain professional, knowledgeable communication that reflects UFred's commitment to student success.
Data Management & Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry in the CRM system.
- Support maintenance of a clean, organized, and actionable prospective student database.
Key Performance/Success Indicators:
- High-quality student advising that results in increased application and enrollment conversion.
- Clear, accurate, and complete student application records.
- Achievement of assigned enrollment goals.
- Achievement of assigned activity metrics, including call and email volume, connection rates, advisory call rates, conversion and advisory call duration.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
Experience:
• 1-2 years of inside sales, academic advising, or student recruitment experience (preferred)
• Experience in the education sector or with CRM systems (considered an asset)
Skills:
• Highly motivated and goal-oriented
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities
• Technological proficiency in CRM platforms and MS Office
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume environments
Work Environment:
• Remote work environment within NB; occasional training, meetings, or events in-office as required

Hours of Work:
This is a full-time permanent position (35 hours per week) under regular business hours. The position is based in Fredericton, NB, with the option to work remotely from anywhere in New Brunswick and attend in-person meetings as required.
