The University of King's College invites applications for the position of Writing Coach in the Foundation Year Program. This is an eight-month appointment, with the possibility of re-appointment, commencing September 1, 2026 and ending April 30, 2027.

Duties include offering one-on-one writing support to first year students, organizing and conducting workshops on writing, and developing writing resources.

The Writing Coach will provide feedback and advice to students by appointment and during regular drop-in hours for approximately 30 hours/week.

All candidates will have a university degree or equivalent in some area of the humanities or social sciences as a minimum. Familiarity with online tools, such as learning management software (e.g., Brightspace) and videoconferencing platforms, is desirable. The Writing Coach is expected to be present on campus as well as available online for student meetings.

Closing Date: June 19, 2026

Salary: $30.05 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
