We are currently recruiting a Counter Sales/Warehouseperson to join our new team of dedicated professionals in Charlottetown, PEI.

What is my role?

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will provide high level customer service to clients and potential customers, initiation of prospect calls and the establishment of ongoing rapport with existing customers. Additionally, you will:

• Ensure follow-up by passing leads to Sales/Branch Manager with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.
• Support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
• Make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone and e-mail cross-sell and up-sell.
• Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
• Overcome objections of prospective customers.
• Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, and prepare customer sales orders.
• Prepare receiving dock to accept incoming product.
• Match product with orders.
• Verify received product expiration codes.
• Inspect product to ensure saleable condition with acceptable code dating.
• Follow a daily shipment schedule.
• Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries.
• Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required.
• Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Sort and distribute incoming shipments.

• Strong knowledge of wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
• Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
• Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
• Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting.
• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

This is a full-time salaried position working out of our location in Charlottetown, PEI. The location will be open from 7:00 am-5:00 pm Monday-Friday, but hours outside of these should be expected. Salary is based on an 8-hour day, 40-hour week. Annual base salary will be commensurate with your experience.
