LOCATION: St. John's, NL

SALARY: Competitive Salary; Based on Experience

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Temporary Contract; 6 Months

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: One (1)

Our client is currently seeking an Instrumentation Planner to join their team on a 6 month term basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Weekly planning including, assignment of materials and resources to work orders, responding to technical and engineering requests, coordinating vendors for offshore campaigns, and liaising with Discipline Responsible Engineers on technical aspects, including material obsolescence and vendor site visit recommendations.
  • Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs utilizing SAP Plant Maintenance software.
  • Participate in effective planning to reduce maintenance backlog while maintaining optimum uptime.
  • Vendor management including raising service requisitions, scheduling offshore campaigns, confirming training and competence of vendors/service providers as per regulatory and certifying authority requirements, ensuring vendor reports are issued and SAP notifications are created, actively participate in contract meetings.
  • Provide technical support to offshore as required.
  • Assist Supply Chain Management with procurement and management of materials, including back loading, onshore repairs, fabrication, and refurbishment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning and execution processes to optimize reliability and availability of systems.
  • Monitor SAP to ensure a high standard of data integrity, with closure of work orders in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Canadian Inter-Provincial Journeyman's (Instrumentation)
  • Previous experience in planned maintenance systems and offshore facilities considered an asset.
  • Experience using SAP Plant Maintenance software or equivalent maintenance management systems.
  • Excellent computer systems skills including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
