Branch Shipper and Receiver

Jump recruitment, on behalf of our client, ND Graphics is seeking a motivated and committed Branch Shipper and Receiver to become part of their warehouse team in St. John's, Newfoundland.

The Role

In this role, you will contribute to operational efficiency, profitability, and exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include order picking and preparation, stocking and organizing materials, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule, including loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, shipping, and inspecting products for damage or defects.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to track inventory, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods, lifting, pushing, and pulling materials as required.
  • Coordinate freight handling by sorting and moving products to designated areas, rotating stock, and arranging disposal of damaged materials when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions, work orders, and safety procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in person, over the phone, and responding to inquiries as needed.
  • Operate office and warehouse equipment, including computer-assisted inventory systems, forklifts, and other light machinery used to move and store materials.
  • Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment, partnering closely with the customer service team to support operational success.
  • Demonstrate reliability and dependability, including punctual attendance and flexibility to support operational needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent lifting of 50+ lbs.
  • Valid forklift training and certification required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to maintaining a professional appearance.
