What you will do:
Reporting to the Park Maintenance Supervisor at Mount Carleton Provincial Park, the successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings, structures and grounds.

The duties and responsibilities will include:

• Supervising employees, preparing work schedules, providing directions and advice, monitoring work, approving time sheets and reviewing performance
• Operating and maintaining vehicles and equipment (tractors, snow blowers, saws, lawnmowers and other tools), small vehicles (all-terrain vehicles), including basic maintenance on trucks (tires and oil)
• Performing light building maintenance, basic carpentry, plumbing and electrician.
• Doing visual inspections of work, as well as inspecting supplies to ensure adequate inventory and for fire and safety hazards
• Coordinating and prioritizing work orders, scheduling and coordinating contractors
• Performing other duties as required

Who you are:

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Required Competencies:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience at the semi-skilled level in the building, electrical and/or mechanical occupations
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

Wage:
$31.74 per hour
