The Senior Manager leads teams and professionals to deliver high-quality services, develop solutions, and driveoperational excellence. This may include providing leadership, support and guidance to preparedness, response/emergencyoperations, recovery and mitigation efforts. They foster a positive team culture, optimize resource allocation, address operationalchallenges, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and boost productivity. Collaboratingacross teams, they support continuous improvement and the adoption of innovative work practices. Additionally, they establishand maintain partnerships with stakeholders, oversee program budgets and resources, and contribute to program developmentand innovation.
In this role, you will :
Program & Service Leadership
- Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and services in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and priorities.
- Conduct program and service assessments, research, and analysis to inform evidence-based, contextually relevant program design and decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and impact, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, donors, vendors, service providers, and local communities at national and international levels.
- Represent the organization in key working groups, forums, and collaborative initiatives to advance program and service objectives.
Financial & Resource Management
- Manage program budgets and resources, including financial planning, reporting, and compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
- Prepare program reports, funding proposals, and related documentation in accordance with donor and organizational guidelines.
Program Development & Innovation
- Contribute technical expertise to program development and innovation, including identifying new opportunities, developing concept notes, and participating in proposal development or procurement/tender processes.
- Implement, monitor, and improve procedures, processes, and policies within the business unit or program area.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to program success, safeguarding service quality and stakeholder trust.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and industry standards.
Specific to Relief Operations:
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of Emergency Management programs.
- Operationalize program and service agreements, identify operational needs, and resolve issues.
- Provide strategic leadership and management oversight of operations, including the development and management of key operational components for service delivery.
- Support emergency response and preparedness activities as required, including providing technical expertise, coordinating program activities, contributing to rapid assessments and decision-making, and stewarding serious on-site incidents.
As a Senior Manager at CRC, You Will:
- Set team performance and development objectives; establish workplans; monitor performance; and provide coaching, feedback, and conflict resolution.
- Contribute to unit-level operational, budget, and workforce planning, including ongoing monitoring and reporting.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve service standards, methods, and processes to meet current and emerging needs.
- Communicate and influence work methods, service delivery, and change initiatives across teams and departments.
- Participate in workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning to ensure a strong talent pipeline.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and manage risks within the area of responsibility.
- Work with vendors and partners as required, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
What We Are Looking For:
- A minimum of 6-9 years of relevant experience, and a three-year college diploma or university degree in social sciences, health sciences, emergency management, community development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A graduate diploma/degree and/or professional designation or certification may be required.
- Demonstrated expertise in a specialized discipline or broad experience across multiple fields, with the ability to understand interdependencies between processes and business units.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, engage teams, and resolve conflict.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, including volunteers and emergency personnel, in high-pressure environments.
- For Relief Operations: Proven experience leading and coordinating emergency response or recovery operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complexity, anticipate outcomes, and develop innovative, collaborative solutions.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, including the ability to synthesize diverse and sometimes conflicting perspectives.
- Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and financial oversight.
- Strong background in stakeholder and volunteer engagement.
- Solid understanding of program/service delivery models, performance metrics, impact evaluation, compliance, and risk management.
Working Conditions
- Requires sustained attention to detail and the ability to process large volumes of information.
- Work pace is often unpredictable, with frequent time pressures and competing priorities.
- Requires adaptability, sound judgment, and decision-making under pressure.
- Includes a combination of office-based work and field deployments to emergency operations.
- Occasional domestic or international travel to generally safe locations; may involve exposure to moderate adverse conditions requiring attention to personal safety.
- Requires managing multiple, conflicting deadlines and interacting with individuals experiencing stress or crisis.
- During large-scale emergencies, may be required to provide disaster relief and/or field operational support under challenging and unstable conditions.
- Potential exposure to physically and psychologically demanding environments (e.g., noise, smoke, humidity, vulnerable populations).
- Availability to work extended hours during peak periods, often on short notice.
