Reporting to the Director, Mass Marketing & Appeal Fundraising, the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing leads the strategy, delivery, and performance of digital fundraising and marketing programs that drive revenue, donor growth, and engagement.
This role is accountable for mass channel campaigns, appeal-based and audience lead fundraising, and donor acquisition and engagement programmes. The role leads the development of strategies to strengthen donor pipelines and long-term value, ensuring strong integration across channels and donor journeys.
The incumbent leads a team of digital marketing professionals and plays a key leadership role in advancing an audience-first, data-driven approach to fundraising.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the strategy, planning, and performance of digital fundraising programs, delivering revenue growth across one-time giving and emergency appeal campaigns.
- Drive the development and execution of integrated, audience-first marketing strategies across digital and mass channels, ensuring alignment with direct mail, stewardship, and mid-level giving
- Oversee digital pipeline development for Planned Giving and Mid-Level fundraising, including lead generation, nurturing, and conversion into higher-value donor segments
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of digital marketing professionals, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and accountable team environment
- Establish clear priorities, performance targets, and reporting frameworks, using data and insights to inform strategy, optimise results, and support decision-making
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external agency partners, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment across campaign planning and execution
- Champion a culture of testing, learning, and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, and donor experience
- Ensure strong operational processes for campaign delivery, resource planning, and knowledge sharing across the team
What we are looking for:
- 6-9 years of experience in fundraising, donor engagement, digital marketing, or a related field and a post-secondary degree diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading digital marketing or fundraising programmes with accountability for revenue, performance, and donor outcomes
- Experience managing teams and/or professional roles, including coaching, performance management, and workforce planning
- Strong track record of using data, testing, and insights to drive performance and inform strategy
- Experience working cross-functionally and influencing stakeholders in a complex organizational environment
- Experience managing external vendors or agency partners to deliver marketing or fundraising programmes
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and comfort working with digital platforms and systems (HubSpot, Meta)
- Fluency in English is required; French is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Work is primarily conducted in a remote office-like environment using digital tools and platforms.
- Occasional travel to safe locations for meetings, planning sessions, or events may be required.
