Full Time Human Resources Assistant

Summary
The Human Resources Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department, working closely with the Director of Human Resources, HR Associate, and Finance team. This position is heavily focused on recruitment and onboarding while also providing broad HR generalist support. This role is responsible for managing job postings, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, facilitating new hire orientations, and maintaining employee data within the HRIS. This role will also provide general administrative and operational support to both the Human Resources and Finance departments to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and passionate about supporting a positive, professional, and inclusive workplace culture.
Requirements
• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a HR or recruitment-related role (co-op or internship experience considered).
• Experience working with HRIS platforms (Humi/Employment Hero) preferred.
• Knowledge of Ceridian or Blackbaud considered an asset.
• Government of Canada Personnel Screening and/or Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check will be required
• Strong understanding of provincial and federal employments standards.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priories in a fast-paced, confidential environment.
• Experience working in a non-profit or unionized environment considered an asset.
Hours of Work
This is a full time position of 40 hours per week with an understanding that days, evening, and weekends may occasionally be required. This is an awake position, staff are required to stay awake, alert, and vigilant at all times while on duty.

Salary
$59,000 - $64,000 annually
