Title: Purchase Order Clerk

Location: Brampton, ON

Wage: $22.00/hr

Shift: 9:00AM - 5:30PM

Shifts available: Monday - Friday

We are currently accepting applications for a future opening for a Purchase Order Clerk position. The ideal candidate will have previous experience processing and managing purchase orders (POs), strong attention to detail, and experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems. This role requires someone who is comfortable handling repetitive administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Temporary assignments may become ongoing based on business needs.

Job Duties:

  • Create, process, and maintain purchase orders accurately in SAP
  • Review purchase requisitions and verify pricing, quantities, and delivery dates
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order confirmations, shipment updates, and discrepancies
  • Follow up on late or incomplete deliveries and notify appropriate departments of delays
  • Maintain purchasing records, data entry, filing, and documentation
  • Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, shipping, and accounting departments to resolve discrepancies
  • Update internal teams regarding changes to orders, releases, or supplier schedules
  • Assist with general administrative and clerical duties as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in purchasing, order entry, or administrative support preferred
  • Experience using SAP is considered a strong asset
  • Minimum high school diploma required
  • Strong computer and data entry skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Cooperative team player with a positive and professional attitude
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required (weekdays/weekends)
  • Must be comfortable entering the plant area; safety shoes are required
