About the Company

VEWO INC. is a growing vehicle export business specializing in the procurement, compliance, and international shipment of vehicles to global markets. Vehicles are procured from Canada, United States, Mexico, and China and shipped to worldwide markets. We are seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead operations, drive growth, and ensure regulatory compliance across all export activities.

Job Summary

The Chief Executive Officer will oversee all aspects of vehicle export operations, including logistics, compliance, sales strategy, and team leadership. This role requires a high level of strategic planning, international business knowledge, and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to expand international vehicle export operations
• Oversee daily operations including procurement, inspection, documentation, and shipping logistics
• Ensure compliance with Canadian, American, Mexican, and Chinese export regulations
• Manage relationships with international clients, suppliers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies
• Lead, mentor, and supervise management and operational staff in Dartmouth office
• Establish pricing strategies, budgets, and financial forecasts
• Manage Foreign Exchange risk, considering CAD, USD, MXN, and EUR
• Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with global partners
• Ensure quality control and customer satisfaction across all transactions
• Prepare operational and financial reports for senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, or related field required
• Minimum 15 years of senior management experience in vehicle export, automotive, or international trade
• Strong knowledge of export regulations, customs documentation, and international shipping processes is required
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
• Financial management and budgeting experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global business environment
• Ability to travel internationally 10+ weeks per year and work flex hours to allow for virtual meetings in other time zones

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive wholesale or dealership operations
• Established international client network
• The primarily language of work is English; however, the ability to speak fluent Spanish is considered an asset due to the market that the vehicles are procured in. Similarly, the ability to speak Mandarin is also considered an asset for this reason as well.
