Our team of six Family Medicine Specialists is offering an opportunity for a dedicated LPN to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. The opportunity:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive health care services. This role involves (is not limited to):
- Conduct patient assessments and follow-up visits for a variety of common primary care presentations.
- Perform and/or assist with clinical tasks including vital signs, infant measurements, and routine health checks.
- Administer immunizations in accordance with clinical guidelines and scope of practice.
- Provide prenatal care support and patient education.
- Assist physicians with in-office procedures.
- Complete initial patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Deliver patient counselling and health education within scope of practice.
- Performs all other related administrative tasks or special tasks.
Experience/education:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) designation with an active nursing license in good standing with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN).
- Previous experience across various areas of medicine, particularly in primary care, is considered a strong asset.
- The ideal candidate is confident in delivering hands-on clinical care, prioritizing tasks effectively, and contributing positively to a collaborative healthcare team.
- Previous experience taking vital signs, performing triage, administering immunizations, assisting with procedures, supporting chronic disease management, and providing prenatal care is considered a strong asset.
Qualifications
- Proficient in administering immunizations and conducting comprehensive patient assessments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage patients of all ages (infants to older adults) as well as members of the healthcare team.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Comfortable working with electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Adaptable and willing to learn new skills while responding positively to changes in practice.
- Versatile team player who is ready to assist where needed in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Empathetic, patient-focused approach to care.
Schedule & Location:
- The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position requires on-site availability Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There are no evening, weekend, or statutory holiday shifts required.
- The clinic is located at 386 William Bell Drive, Hampton, NB.
