Maintenance Supervisor - Property Management

Safeguard Property Management is seeking a reliable, motivated, and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and taking pride in maintaining residential properties to a high standard.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for responding to maintenance work orders, completing basic repairs and preventative maintenance, and coordinating seasonal property services including snow removal, lawn care, landscaping, and yard cleanups. This role services properties throughout the Annapolis Valley from Windsor to Bridgetown.

Schedule

Monday to Friday

8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Must work 2 Saturdays per month

Participation in on-call rotation required ( one week per month)

Responsibilities

Complete maintenance tasks and work orders assigned through Buildium

Use the Buildium mobile app to access tenant and property information

Diagnose maintenance issues and complete basic repairs and corrective maintenance

Complete daily work orders and submit documentation to the Maintenance Manager

Conduct routine property inspections and preventative maintenance

Evaluate tenant maintenance concerns and determine appropriate action

Communicate with the Maintenance Manager or Operations Manager regarding vendor or contractor needs

Coordinate and assist with snow removal, lawn care, landscaping, and yard cleanup operations

Maintain organized snow removal and landscaping records

Act as backup for garbage collection duties

Operate equipment such as tractors and waste bin trucks when necessary

Ensure lawn care equipment fuel supplies are maintained

Communicate with office staff regarding work orders, keys, and tenant inquiries

Contact the Maintenance Manager for troubleshooting support when needed

Qualifications

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to be insured

Experience performing routine maintenance and basic repair work

Ability to safely use common hand and power tools

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent time management and organizational abilities

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Professional attitude and ability to communicate effectively with tenants and contractors

Experience operating lawn care or snow removal equipment is considered an asset
