The Opportunity

As a valued member of the Human Resources team, the HR Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support across a range of human resources functions. This role collaborates closely with employees, leaders, retirees, and HR colleagues to ensure the effective, confidential, and customer-focused delivery of HR services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and coordinating HR activities related to recruitment and retention, benefits coordination, labour relations, occupational health, and training and development.
  • Acting as a point of contact for employees, managers, retirees, and collaborating with members of the HR team to ensure the effective delivery of HR services.
  • Drafting correspondence and developing HR forms, templates, and internal documentation.
  • Tracking and processing invoices and supporting the administration of the HR budget.
  • Supporting employee onboarding, payroll processes, and benefits administration.
  • Administering employee changes in the HRIS, including new hires and employee movements, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee information, and updating organizational data, reports, and records.
  • Providing administrative support for employee engagement initiatives, including coordinating employee and team recognition activities and service acknowledgements.

Your qualifications include:

  • A diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, content management systems, and electronic signature software (e.g., DocuSign).
  • Experience working with HR information systems (HRIS).
  • Comfort and confidence using web-based systems, databases, and digital tools.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A high level of motivation and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, confidentiality, and excellent customer service.
  • A genuine interest in the human resources field and a strong work ethic.
