Forklift Operator

Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Saint John, NB
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 2:00 am - 10:30 am
Pay Rate: $18.00 -$21.00 /hr

Assignment Information:

In this role, you will play a key part in managing inbound and outbound freight operations at our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include safely operating forklifts, maintaining cleanliness standards, and accurately documenting shipments using RF Scanners. Attention to detail is essential as you verify product counts and types against Bills of Lading and other shipping documents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate propane forklift in a fast-paced setting

• Load and unload trailers in a cross-docking environment

• Organize warehouse freight for efficient workflow

• Use RF Scanners for accurate inventory control

• Enter data from Bills of Lading/Manifests into computer systems

• Complete other tasks as directed by supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Valid forklift certification

• Previous experience in a cross-dock warehouse preferred

• At least 1 year of forklift experience

• Criminal record check mandatory

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

• Self-motivated and works well independently

• Strong team player with good communication skills

Work Conditions:

The Forklift Operator will work in a warehouse environment, which may have varying temperatures and noise from machinery and equipment.
