The New Brunswick Housing Corporation is seeking an individual to join the Housing team as a Housing Program Supervisor in the Fredericton office.

As a member of the Housing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Corporation's Housing programs and services offered at the regional level.

Responsibilities include: planning and monitoring the delivery of Housing programs and services; coordinating the preparation of program and administration budgets; monitoring expenditures; reviewing and approving budgets submitted by the Non-Profit Housing Boards and participating in the preparation of quarterly budget projections; initiating legal action on delinquent accounts; handling client inquiries and complaints; representing the Corporation on housing issues within the region; interpreting policies and procedures and providing direction to staff; supervising professional staff which includes coaching, managing performance, team building, identifying staff training needs, and other duties as may be assigned and relating to the effective operation of these program activities.

Essential Qualifications:Master's degree in Social Sciences, Business or Public Administration and a minimum of three (3) years related work experience, of which some direct supervisory experience in staff management is required OR a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Business or Public Administration and a minimum of five (5) years related experience of which some direct supervisory experience in staff management is required. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

Asset Qualifications:

  • Experience in service delivery of social programs; and/or
  • Knowledge of National and Provincial Housing Strategy; and/or
  • Experience in dealing with vulnerable clientele.

Operational Requirement: Candidates must have their own means of transportation within the region. Travel within and outside the region may be required.

Wage:
Pay Band 5 - $67,600 - $94,406 annually.
