Job Title: Tech Analyst
Location: St. John's, NL
Available Shifts: Monday-Friday; 8:00am to 4:00pm
Rate of Pay: $30.00 per hour
Advantage Personnel is currently recruiting for a Tech Analyst on behalf of our St. John's client. As one of the nation's leaders within the oil and gas industries, they are seeking a motivated individual who is exceptionally organized, safety-oriented, and looking for potential to grow within the company. Some of the main duties could include day-to-day technical support, client-facing problem solving, and preventative maintenance in regards to IT.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support to our clients' end users, specifically related to end-user computing devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices).
- Resolve technical support issues that cannot be resolved by the Service Desk or require a hands-on approach.
- Deploy all IT solutions related to end-user devices, site setup, and deployment of new end-user technologies including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, VoIP telephony, network equipment, server migrations, satellite technology, and software applications.
- Analyze, document, and escalate critical issues to appropriate support groups.
- Monitor and ensure timely escalation of customer issues to internal organizations and/or vendors.
- Perform preventative maintenance and install upgrades and options.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Certifications in the following: Network+, A+, Lenovo Hardware, Dell Hardware, CISCO Switching (CCNA).
- Experience with the following: Windows 7, Windows 8, Microsoft SCCM, DHCP, DNS, WIFI, Satellite, VSAT.
- Basic networking skills, both wireless and endpoint switching (CISCO, Juniper).
- Experience with MFP, IMac, and Blackberry.
- Physical ability to complete setups and deployment of computer equipment.
- Ability to travel within the province, with potential to travel into Maine, U.S.A.
- Excellent customer-focused communication skills while building a professional relationship with end users.
- Experience with client remote access.
