As part of the Electrical team, the Construction Electrician CQ works with a crew in the Panel Shop to assemble, wire and quality check P&C panels, cabinets and various electrical boxes that are installed in Substation and Terminal yards and buildings. Occasionally the crew will assist in field work when needed.
Key functions include:
- Wiring of panels, cabinets and various electrical boxes using wiring lists and electrical schematic drawings
- Ensuring, through quality assurance, that work is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Assisting with field work when extra help is needed
Working conditions include:
- This position is primarily based at NB Power's Electrical Panel Shop at the Marysville Operating Center and requires minimal travel
- The nature of this work is routine and repetitive
The ideal teammate will have:
- Construction Electrician CQ
- Three years of post certification work experience as a Construction Electrician CQ
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License
An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
