About NBANH
The New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes Inc. (NBANH) is an employer association that advocates on behalf of all 79 licensed nursing homes in NB. The nursing home sector represents over 5,397 residents and 8,222 employees across the province.
NBANH is seeking a Wellness Coordinator. The Wellness Coordinator reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for developing the provincial wellness strategy. This role is also the lead on related supporting programs to wellness which includes attendance support, WorkSafe claims/return to work program, and the health and benefits committee.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement a provincial wellness strategy for the nursing home sector, including the promotion of the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)
- Establish a communication and marketing plan to promote the wellness strategy
- Prepare and distribute various wellness materials, tools, and programs for employees
- Supports the wellness aspect of human resource programs led by the CEO, such as attendance support and WorkSafe claims/return to work, etc.
- Engage with the leadership team of member homes and work closely with key partners
- Participation in relevant committees
- Serves as the lead contact for the Health and Benefits plan
- Develop reports and give presentations as needed
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- Degree in Health Care, Social Sciences related field
- Knowledge of wellness and promotional concepts
- Excellent problem-solving and ability to shift priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate support to individuals in distress
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Highly organized individual with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Desire to learn and eager attitude
- Bilingualism is essential
Terms of Employment
Temporary Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Local and provincial travel may be required. Term July 13th , 2026 to January 31, 2028
