Our Corporate Services team is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to join our St. John's office in a full-time permanent position. As part of the Corporate Services team, you will provide support within our corporate department.

As a Corporate Paralegal, you will be responsible for:

  • Process annual renewals relating to provincial and extra-provincial registrations for which we act as Attorney for Service;
  • Prepare accounts and process payments related to the annual renewal process;
  • Update corporate information at the Newfoundland Registry of Companies;
  • Prepare and update information on annual resolutions/minutes;
  • Prepare and update information re notices of changes of officers, directors, and shareholders and related minute book updates;
  • Attend to extra provincial registrations and their updates regarding name changes, amalgamations, continuances;
  • Prepare documentation and attend to filings related to basic Provincial and Federal company incorporations;
  • Attend to minute book updates; and,
  • Input and maintain data in the Corporate Services database as per standard procedures.

The successful candidate will possess the following skill set:

  • The ideal candidate will have a Paralegal or Legal Administration diploma or other related education;
  • Minimum two (2) years experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal preferably within the corporate field;
  • Exceptional technology skills, with proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office and legal billing systems;
  • Exceptional communication skills, a special focus on client service and the highest degree of professionalism; and,
  • Experience with knowledge management software and government websites.
