THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you an inspiring fundraiser, a creative strategist, and enjoy meaningful interactions? Do you love cultivating meaningful donor relationships? HSFNB is seeking a Manager, Major Gifts & Partnerships to build a successful major gifts program and drive innovative fundraising initiatives that directly impact the health of New Brunswickers.
As a not-for-profit health charity, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick relies on fundraising programs to support mission programming, aimed at directly impacting the health of New Brunswickers. The successful candidate should possess exceptional communications skills, be detail oriented, and work well under pressure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bring forward proactive ideas and identify new opportunities for fundraising growth.
- Build (from the ground up) and manage a major gifts portfolio, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual and corporate donors.
- Source new sponsorship partners for events, programs and conferences.
- Develop meaningful, personalized donor experiences that deepen long-term engagement.
- Create a strategic stewardship program for high-impact donors and partners including monthly, direct mail, legacy donors and employee givings.
- Seek out new, creative revenue-generating ideas aligned with our mission.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to align funding opportunities with program priorities.
- Act as an ambassador for HSFNB with donors, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Champion a values-driven, mission-focused organizational culture.
- Attend and support events.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 2+ years of progressive fundraising experience, including major gift development.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with a creative, entrepreneurial approach to fundraising.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license.
- Self-motivated and committed to follow-through with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
