Salary: To be commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $58,461 - $68,778 per annum. (Annual salary rates based on a 35 hour per week schedule and will be prorated for the 9-month sessional term.)

Acadia is seeking an experienced and collaborative Assistant Athletic Therapist to support the health, safety, and performance of our varsity student-athletes. This is a 9-month sessional position which runs from August 1st to April 30th each academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic varsity athletics environment where you will directly contribute to student-athlete success both on and off the field. You will be part of a collaborative high-performance team dedicated to excellence in sport, health, and education.
This position plays a key role in the prevention, assessment, treatment, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, with primary responsibility for the varsity football team during the fall season and support for other varsity teams throughout the academic year.
The successful candidate will provide medical coverage for practices, games, and home sporting events while working full-time in the Athletic Therapy Clinic. This role also involves close collaboration with coaches, strength and conditioning staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, as well as supervision and mentorship of Athletic Therapy Option students.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years related professional experience preferably working within a multidisciplinary integrated sports science environment
Required Certifications and Training
- Certified member of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA)
- Certified Athletic Therapist designation - CAT(C)
- Valid Standard First Aid certification (or higher)
- Valid First Responder Certification (or equivalent)
