The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (EECD) supports lifelong learning and ensures high-quality education and care for children and students across the province.
The Human Resources Client Services team plays a key role in supporting this mandate by delivering professional, responsive, and efficient human resource services to EECD staff. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Fredericton.
What you will do:
Reporting to the Manager of HR Client Services, the HR Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the team's day-to-day recruitment work.
In this role, you will help coordinate the full-cycle recruitment, from posting jobs to finalizing competitions, ensuring documentation is organized, accurate, and completed in line with the Civil Service Act, policies, and procedures.
You will work in close partnership with Human Resources Consultants and people leaders to support payroll and benefits administration, coordinate and monitor recruitment activities, ensure the integrity and accuracy of documentation, and contribute to a seamless, consistent, and high-quality experience for all stakeholders.
In this role, key responsibilities include:
- Serve as the first point of contact for candidates and employees, providing professional, timely, and accurate information aligned with public service values;
- Coordinate multiple recruitment activities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring processes are organized, documented, and completed within established timelines;
- Prepare, format, proofread, and post job advertisements and recruitment-related documentation;
- Coordinate and track approvals for recruitment documentation and competition processes;
- Create, organize, and maintain competition and recruitment files in accordance with records management procedures;
- Process applications, and respond to applicant inquiries;
- Coordinate testing, interviews, and selection materials;
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including preparation of commencement packages and all payroll-related transactions in collaboration with Payroll and Benefits;
- Contribute to employee wellness initiatives and engagement activities;
- Updating and maintaining recruitment documentation templates.

Required Competencies:
- A two year diploma in administration and a minimum of four (4) years of related work experience.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

- Ability to Use Office Technology, Software and Applications; and

Wage:
Administrative Services Level 4 - $1,816 - $2,205 bi-weekly
Work environment:
- Office location: Place 2000, 250 King Street, Fredericton, NB.
- Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30.
