Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager- Product Support/Field Service, this role is responsible for supervising a manufacturing production team, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality goals are realized for an assigned area/product line/work cell.

As a Repair and Overhaul Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:

• Track on-time delivery of repairs while maintaining cost cost compliance to ensure profitability.
• Oversee the day-to-day activities of an assigned manufacturing area.
• Ensure product/service quality through proper utilization of resources and adherence to applicable standards.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's polices and applicable laws and regulations.
• Lead activities to resolve issues and problems, identifying root cause and effecting appropriate corrective action.
• Monitor and enable internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Generate, maintain, and update shop floor documentation, ensuring compliance with operating procedures, quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Drive continuous improvement through deployment of best practices, such as Lean Six Sigma
• Maintain and continuously improve areas, which impact on team member safety.
• Hire, manage career development, and assess performance of assigned team members.
• Attend applicable internal or external customer meetings.
• Participate on special project teams as required.
• Support new product introduction activities and training initiatives.
• Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.

What you require to be successful in the role:

  • Possession of a technology diploma in electronics or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of successful and progressive supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient technical expertise with demonstrated application
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritize challenging schedules
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain positive working relationships with other team members
  • Familiarity with Industrial Engineering concepts and 5S/6S techniques
  • Knowledge and familiarity with standards (ISO, AS, etc.)
  • Proactive issue identification and problem solving skills.
