The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience from industrial environments (project engineering, maintenance, operations, or technical roles) or from consulting teams designing industrial mechanical systems, and be comfortable translating mark-ups and field information into clear, accurate CAD & modelling deliverables using tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D. Exposure to areas such as process fluid systems, petrochemical storage and transfer, storage tanks, compressed gas systems, boilers, power plants, or other industrial systems would be considered an asset.
Your Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate overall project models and collaborate with wider project teams;
- Develop and maintain drawing registers, title blocks, and project file organization in accordance with internal standards and client requirements;
- Support site work as needed (e.g., field verification, redlines/as-builts, equipment and piping measurements) and incorporate findings into design deliverables;
- Work with engineers, project managers, and construction/field teams to incorporate mark-ups, resolve design questions, and produce coordinated, constructible drawing packages;
- Coordinate with project team members to resolve drawing comments, implement design changes, and meet schedule and quality expectations; and
- Assist with quantity take-offs/material lists and support preparation of construction/fabrication packages.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
- A diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (or equivalent training/experience) that demonstrates the ability to produce industrial mechanical CAD deliverables;
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Plant 3D is required. Experience with other 3D mechanical/plant design tools (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar) would be considered an asset;
- Familiarity with drawings and deliverables for systems such as process fluid piping, storage and transfer, storage tanks, compressed gas systems, boilers, power generation facilities, or similar industrial assets;
- This opportunity is open to candidates at all experience levels (including new graduates and experienced technologists). Experience supporting industrial mechanical projects—either in plant/operations environments or in consulting/design teams—is highly preferred;
- Ability to complete quantity take-offs;
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines; and
- Hold a valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites.
