Key Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality welds on a variety of materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum) using SMAW, FCAW, MIG, TIG, and other welding methods.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and ensure accurate execution.
• Inspect welds for quality, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards. Perform any necessary grinding or polishing.
• Set up and maintain welding equipment, adjusting settings as needed for different materials. Troubleshoot and repair equipment as required.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, using personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Work with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on welding experience is required
• Proficiency in SMAW, FCAW (CWB certification)
• Experience with F3-F4 SMAW
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently with minimal supervision
• Strong team player who can also work independently when needed
• Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform manual labor
• Committed to maintaining a strong safety culture
• Willingness to travel within Atlantic Canada as necessary
• Valid driver's license

Position Details

• Hourly Rate: Competitive wages based on experience
• Hours: 44 hours per week
• Shift: Monday to Friday with overtime and weekends as needed.

Signing bonus offered for 5+ years of relevant experience.
