We're the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), committed to transforming lives and communities and we are currently seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our Marketing and Communications team as a Creative Content Specialist.
In this role, you will help craft how NBCC is seen, heard, and experienced by creating content that connects with learners, employees, and communities across New Brunswick and beyond.

Salary: $53,742 to $75,114 per annum
Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Communications and Creative, the Creative Content Specialist brings NBCC stories to life by producing high-quality multimedia content to support marketing, recruitment, social media, and enterprise-wide communications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conceiving, directing, shooting, and editing engaging content for social, digital, and traditional platforms.
- Developing both short- and long-form videos that resonate with target audiences.
- Acting as the College's official photographer and/or videographer at events and gatherings.
- Serving as the principal photographer for professional advertising photo shoots.
- Collaborating closely with internal clients and external suppliers to facilitate the creation of content.
- Developing production plans and schedules for assigned projects.
- Ensuring buy-in by articulating creative vision through storyboarding, scripting, and schematics aligned with project objectives and outcomes.
- Working collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications team to support, on an as-needed basis, communications, marketing, and promotional materials, projects, and departmental initiatives.
- Managing, digitizing, and organizing multimedia assets in accordance with college standards.
- Staying current with emerging media techniques, trends, and production technologies.
- Continuously identifying and implementing industry best practices to improve efficiency and quality.
Education/Experience:
- A minimum of three years of related work experience that includes both professional photography and video production.
- An impressive and diverse portfolio of work demonstrating photography, video, audio, and editing skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with multimedia tools, equipment, and applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sophisticated editing software, such as Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Illustrator, Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere).
- Demonstrated experience digitizing and organizing audio, photography, and video assets.
Professional Skills:
- Familiarity with developing content in formats suitable for web, social, and broadcast media, including TV, cinema, radio, and podcasts.
- Self-motivated, deadline-driven and highly adaptable.
- Enthusiastic about working with professional-grade equipment and keen to learn and develop new skills.
- A strategic mindset that looks beyond asset creation to support business goals and objectives.

Assets:
- Demonstrated experience using project management software.
- Formal education in a related discipline.
Candidates must possess a valid Driver's License as frequent travel within the province will be required.
Candidates MUST also include a link(s) to a portfolio of work that includes examples of photography, videography and any content that demonstrates their skill in crafting a compelling story using still and moving images.
