Our client, Logan Drilling Group, is a leader in their industry and has been operating in highly specialized markets for over 60 years. Their business capabilities are multi-dimensional, providing all sizes of wireline diamond core drilling, slim hole oil and gas samples, and both surface and underground drilling operations, as well as coal and salt drilling. Logan Drilling Group is a multinational organization with a head office in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia, a branch office in Moncton, NB, and an affiliated company in the United States.
We are pleased to partner with Logan Drilling Group as we look to bring a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join their accounting team at the head office in Stewiacke. The Accounting Clerk will provide critical support to the Management and Accounting teams and will be primarily responsible for Accounts Payable, while also assisting with general accounting and reporting functions. This role is well suited to someone early in their accounting career who is eager to grow within a stable, well-established organization.
Responsibilities will include:

• Timely and accurate processing of invoices and vendor payments
• Maintaining professional relationships with corporate vendors
• Recording intercompany transactions
• Inventory accounting support
• Assisting with the preparation of quarterly and annual working papers
• Preparing ad hoc and recurring accounting reports as required
• Supporting other general accounting functions and related duties

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of one year of accounting experience or experience in a similar role
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive, organized approach to work
• Above-average organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with QuickBooks is considered an asset
