$155,000 - $215,000 CADThis role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance.

Job Description:

The Associate Vice President, Governance & Control TD Insurance is accountable for providing enterprise risk, control, and governance leadership across TD Insurance. The role oversees regulatory programs, data and model governance, operational resilience, Risk Market Place and change oversight, partnering closely with business leaders, second line functions, and regulators to ensure strong risk management and compliance outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

Provide risk, control, and change oversight to business transformation programs, strategic initiatives, and the project portfolio, including leadership of the TDI Risk Market Place Practice.

Execute and oversee key regulatory programs for TD Insurance, including Regulatory Compliance Management (OSFI E-3), Financial Crimes Risk Management (AML, ABAC, ML/ATF, Sanctions), and Privacy Designates.

Proactively manage relationships with provincial insurance regulators, including engagement on draft legislation and advocacy for TD Insurance interests.

Oversee TDI Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management programs, including enterprise requirements for planning, testing, incident management, and reporting.

Establish and maintain Data Governance accountability, including adherence to the Enterprise Data Management Standard and appropriate coverage by Data Stewards.

Design and implement a Model Risk Governance program for TDI in alignment with Model Risk Management and Compliance Oversight requirements.

Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities through process optimization, automation, operational expense reduction, and revenue enablement initiatives.

Represent TD Insurance Governance & Control at senior enterprise committees and in cross-segment initiatives of increasing volume and complexity.

Capabilities

Deep expertise in enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, and oversight models.

Ability to develop and execute complex risk and control frameworks within large, matrixed organizations.

Demonstrated ability to provide independent oversight and effective challenge while maintaining strong business partnerships.

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior executives.

Strong understanding of insurance business models, strategy, regulatory requirements, and industry expectations is an asset.
