Position Details:

Position: Part Time Security Guard

City: Toronto

Hours: Saturdays and Sundays (2300 – 0600)

Pay: $21.00 / an hour

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 Hours

Posting Date: April 13th, 2026

Internal Closing Date: April 20th, 2026

External Closing Date: April 24th, 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be able to comprehend and demonstrate competencies of the site and the Security policies and procedures with an ability to use a customer service approach
  • Assist visitors, and residences during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed
  • Enthusiastically conducts proactive patrols (exterior and Interior), and be able to address policy breeches, and note facility concerns.
  • Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner as not to create a panic amongst the residence
  • Ability to de-escalate a crisis, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including; police, fire and paramedic resources
  • Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries
  • Ability to provide first aid and medical response when required to any person
  • Monitor entrances, exits, common areas, and security systems (CCTV, alarms, key access)
  • Prevent unauthorized access, trespassing, vandalism, theft, and other security risks
  • Accurately document incidents, patrols, and daily activities in written reports or logs
  • Interact respectfully and professionally with tenants, visitors, staff, and contractors, while providing direction and assistance
  • Work closely with property management, housing support staff, and local authorities

Prerequisites:

  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
  • English (oral and written) fluency is a must
  • Prior Security Experience is an asset
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
  • Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
