Reporting to the Head of CITO / CFO, the Director, PMO plays a critical enterprise‑wide role in translating strategy into execution. This leader is responsible for operating and evolving the portfolio governance framework while directly leading PMO Managers and Program Managers across the organization.
The role ensures consistent prioritization, reporting, and delivery practices, while actively managing risks, dependencies, and performance across multiple initiatives. As a key partner to executives and business leaders, the Director, PMO provides the insight, discipline, and leadership required to drive predictable delivery and maximize the impact of transformation initiatives across the company.
This position is offered in a hybrid remote model and is open to candidates located anywhere in Canada.
- Lead enterprise portfolio governance and PMO operations, ensuring strong alignment between strategy, priorities, and execution
- Oversee program and project delivery performance, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and cross‑program issues
- Maintain an integrated, organization‑wide view of initiatives across business units to enable informed executive decision‑making
- Enable data‑driven governance through consolidated portfolio reporting, actionable insights, and executive‑level dashboards
- Align demand with delivery capacity across IT and business teams, balancing Run, Change, and Transform activities
- Drive PMO standards, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen governance, delivery maturity, and execution discipline
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and French
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in PMO leadership, including experience at the Director level
- Proven experience leading enterprise portfolio, program, and project management in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks, financial tracking, and delivery methodologies
- Demonstrated experience managing large‑scale initiatives and coordinating delivery across multiple teams and business units
- Experience within the insurance or highly regulated environments is considered a strong asset
