Buildings Division manages building construction projects such as schools, hospitals, nursing homes, government offices, colleges, correctional facilities. This position is essential for facilitating construction and renovation of provincial buildings.
What you will do
The Marshlands Group is responsible for the maintenance of all marshland structures in the South East of the province.
Reporting to the Manager of Marshlands, the successful candidate will be required to handle a variety of technical duties in maintenance operations within the region. The primary responsibilities are:
directing, supervising and reviewing the work of consultants and contractors to stay within scope and budget;
consulting with clients to determine specific needs;
conducting site investigations;
preparing designs, layout proposals, cost estimate, computer aided designs, working drawings and specifications for various projects;
liaising with contractors and consultants;
planning, coordinating and administering assigned projects for successful completion.

Office location: 381 Killam Drive, Moncton.
Open office layout.
Standard hours of work: Monday – Friday

Essential Qualifications:
Engineering and Field Level VII:
Graduation from a recognized two (2) year Civil Engineering Technology Program with six (6) years of progressively responsible related work experience.
Must be a member, or be eligible for membership, in the New Brunswick Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (NBSCETT) or Registered as a Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists with a Canadian regulatory body.
Valid Class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick.
If there are no applicants with the above essential qualifications, we may consider applicants with the following qualifications and appoint at a lower classification.
Engineering and Field Level VI:
Graduation from a recognized two (2) year Civil Engineering Technology Program with five (5) years of progressively responsible related work experience.
Must be a member, or be eligible for membership, in the New Brunswick Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (NBSCETT) or Registered as a Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists with a Canadian regulatory body.
Valid Class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick.
Engineering and Field Level V:
Graduation from a recognized two (2) year Civil Engineering Technology Program with four (4) years of progressively responsible related work experience.
Must be a member, or be eligible for membership, in the New Brunswick Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (NBSCETT) or Registered as a Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists with a Canadian regulatory body.
Valid Class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate the following assets:
experience with Autocad Civil 3D;
experience and competence using specialized software;
experience in heavy municipal/civil engineering projects;
experience in Geotechnical and Environmental / water resources.

SALARY:
Engineering and Field Level VII: $2,327.00 to $2,932.00 bi-weekly, based on 36.25 hours per week.
Engineering and Field Level VI: $2,126.00 to $2,671.00 bi-weekly, based on 36.25 hours per week.
Engineering and Field Level V: $1,935.00 to $2,434.00 bi-weekly, based on 36.25 hours per week.
