Halifax Water is hiring for the job of Senior Manager, Infrastructure Planning. This is a regular opportunity within the Engineering and Capital Infrastructure Department.
As the Senior Manager, Infrastructure Planning, you will report to the Director, Engineering & Capital Infrastructure, leading the planning and development of identified Halifax Water capital infrastructure projects to a level of definition that supports informed enterprise-level decision-making prior to the commitment to project delivery, including the identification and evaluation of risks, optimization of value for ratepayers, and responding to evolving municipal, regulatory, and operating environments, in alignment with the Integrated Resource Plan and Halifax Water's strategic priorities.
As a Senior Manager, Infrastructure Planning, you will:
- Develop integrated infrastructure project plans that consider alignment with Halifax Regional Municipality and Province of Nova Scotia plans and initiatives, land acquisition requirements, interested party engagement and regulatory considerations.
- Collaborate with appropriate Halifax water interested parties to establish and maintain design standards for critical infrastructure, reflecting technical and operational realities, environmental and financial regulatory considerations, and ensuring long-term organizational needs are appropriately integrated.
To do this job, you need to have:
- A post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering (other engineering disciplines may be considered)
- A Professional Engineer designation.
- Seven years of progressively responsible related experience in a municipal engineering field.
- Direct supervisory experience.
- A valid NS Drivers' License.
