The Opportunity

The Infrastructure Specialist is the key server and storage Infrastructure expert with broad expert level expertise. Infrastructure Specialists are the main escalation point to resolve complex technical issues.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the design, operation, and modernization of enterprise infrastructure across on?premises and cloud environments.
• Play a major role in defining and executing the company's cloud strategy, with primary responsibility for Microsoft Azure and future support for AWS.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and performance of server platforms including database, file, mail, web, and application services.
• Design and support hybrid architectures, integrating on?prem systems with cloud services for scalability, resiliency, and security.
• Ensure cybersecurity standards are consistently applied across infrastructure, including secure configurations, identity, and access controls.
• Own email platforms, identity services, and directory technologies, including Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory / Entra ID.
• Design and maintain storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions across both on?premises and cloud environments.
• Act as a Level 3 escalation point, resolving complex infrastructure and cloud issues requiring expert?level experience.
• Work with vendors and internal teams to evaluate, source, and implement infrastructure and cloud solutions that meet business and security requirements.
• Stay current with cloud services, infrastructure technologies, and industry best practices, proactively improving platform reliability and cost efficiency.

Your qualifications include:

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience working with Enterprise level Server infrastructure, Virtual and Physical.
• Expert level Experience with all server and enterprise storage systems.
• Expert experience in M365 and Cloud related Architectures.
• Professional training in many areas of Infrastructure and Storage including Microsoft Azure, M365, Exchange, SANS, and Citrix etc.
