Jump Recruitment, on behalf of our client, Home Hardware, is seeking to fill an Outside Contractor Salesperson position to join their team at their Conception Bay South, NL, location.

Position Summary:

Kelligrews Home Hardware is a Home Hardware Building Centre, with a strong focus on new home builders, developers, professional contractors and DIYers. We are looking for an energetic and motivated Outside Contractor Sales professional to join our team. In this role, you will drive business growth by developing relationships with Home Builders and Contractors and managing existing accounts through proactive management. Your focus will be on expanding our market presence and delivering outstanding customer service to contractors, builders, and business clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to generate new business opportunities in the Greater St. John's and CBS area through proven business development activities.
  • Manage existing accounts by maintaining strong relationships, upselling products and services, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify potential clients in the construction, renovation, and commercial sectors to expand our B2B customer base.
  • Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track sales activities, manage leads, and analyze territory performance.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients while ensuring profitable sales outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on marketing initiatives and territory management strategies to maximize sales effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in the residential home building industry and proven development skills.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to handle multiple accounts and territories effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce or similar platforms for tracking sales activities.
  • Demonstrated success in lead generation, cold calling, and direct sales approaches.
  • Analytical skills for assessing market trends and identifying new opportunities.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel within the greater St. John's area.

Job Details:

  • Salary will be based upon experience.
  • Benefits such as dental care, extended health care, life insurance, and employee assistance programs.
  • Potential to earn commission coupled with base salary.
