Join Our Team as a Financial Gaming Integration Specialist at Atlantic Lottery!

The Financial Gaming Integration Specialist ensures the completeness and accuracy of financial transactions across Atlantic Lottery's gaming platforms and the general ledger. Working in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects and enhancements, this role assesses end-to-end impacts to retailer billing, player wallets, accounting treatments, and financial reporting. The Specialist partners with internal teams and external vendors to define requirements, support solution design, lead testing, and provide operational support-helping ensure compliant, reliable financial integrations and high-quality data for reconciliation and analytics.

Responsibilities

Project Impact, Requirements & Solution Design

  • Assess impacts of projects/enhancements on retailer billing, player wallets, journal entries, reporting, and Finance processes.
  • Gather and document detailed financial requirements for transaction processing, configuration, data, and reporting.
  • Define accounting treatments and general ledger integration rules; contribute to financial design and GL integration specifications.

Testing & Go-Live Delivery

  • Create test plans and scripts; execute end‑to‑end and regression testing, and document results.
  • Log and investigate defects, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate fixes with vendors and internal teams.
  • Support go‑live readiness through process documentation, training, communications, and cutover/stabilization activities.

Operational Support & Reconciliation

  • Provide first‑level functional support to Finance by troubleshooting incidents and data/reporting issues related to gaming transactions.
  • Perform system‑to‑system reconciliations and balancing to validate completeness and accuracy across gaming systems and the general ledger.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, streamline processes, and improve integration quality and reporting.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Post‑secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Approximately 3 years of experience in a finance, systems, or technology‑enabled environment.
  • Experience supporting system integrations, testing, or technology‑enabled business processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial transactions, reconciliations, and accounting processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older and reside in Atlantic Canada.

Assets:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Experience working in gaming, lottery, or highly regulated environments.
  • Experience with enterprise transaction systems or vendor‑supported platforms.
  • Continuous improvement or process optimization experience.

Work Location & Flexibility

This role may be based out of one of our Moncton, NB or Halifax, NS office.

  • During probation: Full-time, in-office (Moncton preferred for onboarding)
  • After probation: Choice of full-time in-office or hybrid (2-3 days per week onsite)

Compensation

  • Salary Band: $75,200 - $122,200
  • Expected Hiring Range: $78,000 - $88,000 (based on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity)

Recruitment Process

A Predictive Index (PI) assessment will also be conducted or shared with hiring managers.
