Oakwood Terrace is a 111 bed Long Term Care Facility in Dartmouth NS. Our residents reside on one of our four clinical units and are supported by Nursing, Dietary, Housekeeping, Recreation, Physiotherapy, Rehab Assistant, Spiritual Care, Clinical Pharmacist and Physicians.

The RN functions as a Clinical Leader overseeing all clinical care, coordination of same and rotationally assumes the responsibility as Building Supervisor. He/she will act as coach, mentor and leader to the clinical team on the unit and work in partnership with the Nurse Managers and Director of Nursing to ensure the needs of residents, families and staff are met.

The successful candidate will be a member of CRNNS and in good standing. He/she will be required to submit a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and have formal leadership expertise (Charge Nurse, Clinical Leader, Educator). Knowledge and/or experience in Long Term Care, Point Click Care and Catalyst oneMAR would be an asset.

Oakwood Terrace offers 8 hour shifts, free parking, benefits plan (BlueCross) and pension plan (HANS). Registered Nurses at Oakwood Terrace are members of NSNU and are compensated as per collective agreement.
