JOB SUMMARY
NL Health Services invites expressions of interest from physicians interested in providing locum coverage across multiple disciplines and practice locations throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Opportunities may be available in a variety of clinical areas, including rural, regional, and urban practice settings, based on operational needs.
Successful candidates will be expected to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams and provide high-quality, patient-centred care within their respective areas of practice. Responsibilities will vary depending on the discipline, site, and service requirements, and may include inpatient care, outpatient care, on-call coverage, emergency support, procedural services, and other duties consistent with the physician's scope of practice and privileges.
Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to professionalism, patient safety, quality improvement, and collaborative practice.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification in relevant discipline (or pending certification)
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)
- Must satisfy credentialing and privilege requirements of NL Health Services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
REMUNERATION
Compensation will be in accordance with applicable NL Health Services locum policies. Incentives are based on the locum policy ? contact the recruiter for details.
