Job Description

You'll focus on maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of CNB's identity infrastructure, including Active Directory (AD) and related systems. Your role centers on platform operations—ensuring systems run smoothly and follow regulatory/security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Security Hardening: Implement and enforce AD security best practices (e.g., securing LDAP channels, disabling legacy protocols like NTLM, and managing privileged accounts).
  • Migration/Upgrades: Proven experience with AD migrations (e.g., functional level upgrades, domain consolidations) or Windows Server upgrades.
  • Monitor AD health: Oversee domain controllers, replication, and DNS integration to prevent outages.
  • Execute production changes: Apply patches, promote domain controllers, and adjust configurations following strict change control processes—primarily scheduled during nights and weekends to minimize business impact.
  • Troubleshoot platform issues: Resolve replication delays, authentication failures, or Group Policy conflicts using tools like Repadmin or DCdiag.
  • Support IAM and teams: Provide runbooks, guidance, and hands-on help when IAM or other support teams encounter AD-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance: Align AD operations with regulatory standards (e.g., CNB policies) and audit requirements.
  • Automate routines: Use PowerShell or scripting to streamline tasks like log analysis or system checks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with cybersecurity, networking, and RBC teams to support business needs.
  • Document processes: Maintain technical guides and share knowledge with the IPEM team.
  • On-call duties: Participate in rotations, including nights/weekends, for urgent incidents.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in Active Directory operations (replication, domain controller management, Group Policy infrastructure).
  • Hands-on experience with AD troubleshooting and monitoring tools.
  • Scripting proficiency (PowerShell preferred) for automation.
  • Familiarity with PAM, Zero Trust principles, and CIS benchmarks.

Skills & Mindset

  • Adaptable: Shift priorities smoothly in a dynamic setting.
  • Detail-oriented: Ensure accuracy in system configurations, compliance checks, and following processes and procedures.
  • Collaborative: Build relationships across teams; communicate clearly.
  • Proactive: Identify risks, propose solutions, and meet deadlines under pressure.
