What is the opportunity?
This position has a national scope and will support the Director, Client, Partner & Employee Experience to develop and execute programs, projects, and events to improve employee engagement, development and experience. The Manager, Employee Experience, will play an integral role in cultivating an inclusive, engaging workplace culture, and enhancing the employee experience within Royal Trust. In collaboration with senior leaders and HR partners, Manager, Employee Experience will lead the development, implementation, delivery, and communication of employee engagement initiatives, with analysis of engagement survey results and execution of action plans aligned with budget, to increase employee engagement and elevate the employee experience. This role is responsible for positively impacting staff retention, creating a strong culture, increasing productivity and profitability by leveraging technology, best practices, and streamlining processes in order to meet and/or exceed business goals and expectations nationally.
What will you do?
Employee Engagement
- Lead initiatives that enhance retention, performance, and employee experience through events, communications, and continuous feedback loops.
- Create and manage feedback loops / surveys and identify opportunities to hear from our employees.
- Analyze engagement data to prioritize programs, develop improvement plans, and partner with leaders to increase engagement scores.
- Plan and execute key employee events (Appreciation Day, volunteer days, town halls, Pride, IWD) and manage the national social committee and budget.
- Inform the leadership development roadmap, support succession planning, and consult on professional development and onboarding programs from an engagement lens.
- Promote inclusion initiatives and stay current with engagement best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Consult with HR, business leaders, and operational teams across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, development, engagement, exits) to ensure engagement is integrated throughout.
- Oversee Trust Matters and other methods to actively engage our employees and work with partners to effectively communicate content, reporting, and deployment.
Employee Experience
- Monitor and acknowledge new employees, anniversaries, and retirements ensuring information and best practices are shared with relevant leaders.
- Partner with HR colleagues and relevant stakeholders to develop and deliver an improved onboarding and offboarding experience to include;
- A smooth and welcoming onboarding process
- An offboarding process to include a survey to gather greater insights to inform business strategy
- Assist with the formation and management of employee engagement budgets to include experiences (events) and environment (physical environment)
- Lead the annual pulse survey among staff nationally to better understand employee engagement and experience opportunities.
- Working with the communication partners, deploy storytelling on what we heard and our actions on a regular basis but always prior to future pulse surveys.
- Consult with real estate team/ OC about employee experience at the office.
Data and Reporting
- Develop quarterly RT HR metrics dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior leadership team to help inform HR and business strategy.
- In partnership with leadership team create key HR KPI goals and regularly monitor and communicate progress (engagement, turnover, retention rate, internal promotion rate etc.)
- Utilize HR and Professional development analytics to support data-driven proposals/ decisions and report on key HR metrics including retention, employee leadership development calling out key trends to include what works well and what needs to be amended to positively impact any negative trends
- Analyze employee engagement survey data, new hire and exit interview survey results and trends to develop strategies and programs to improve
- Partner with HR colleagues on recommended enhancements to employee engagement survey and pulse survey to enable deeper insights (i.e., by sales position etc.)
Ad-hoc Projects
- Collaborate with HR colleagues and business line leaders on special projects i.e., Workday enhancements and data clean up.
- Provide guidance on project initiatives and manage project deliverables.
- All other related duties as assigned to support he wider team to benefit the business
What do you need to succeed?
Must have's:
- Degree/diploma in HR, Business, or a related discipline (preference for additional background/study in employee engagement/experience
- 3-5 Years managing national/regional projects and initiatives
- Solid project management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with a collaborative and inclusive mindset and ability to propose creative employee-centric solutions.
- Strong client-focus and ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Solid analytical skills, including experience using Excel to analyze data and identify key insights.
- Ability to work effectively with others and perceived as a professional business partner.
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- Exhibits sound judgement and decision-making abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Flexible in approaching all duties and assignments and shares best practices wherever possible.
- Able to learn new technology quickly and adapt functionality to departmental needs

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$67,000.00 - $110,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location. If the posting lists multiple job locations, a recruiter can confirm availability of the role and the relevant pay rage for the additional locations listed.
