PAL Aerospace is proud to provide Air Ambulance services to our communities in Newfoundland and Labrador. Operating the King Air 350 PAL offers end-to-end solutions including selection and assignment of aircrews, maintenance, creating standard operating procedures, and ensuring aircraft and pilots are always available as needed.

To support these critical missions, PAL Aerospace is seeking a NL Air Ambulance Operations Manager to join our team in St. John's, NL.

Reporting to the Director of Air Ambulance in this role you will:

  • Support the Director of Air Ambulance Services in operational leadership for NL Air Ambulance operations
  • Ensure maximum safety measures followed within operations
  • Develop and maintain daily operational schedule
  • Ensure quality service and management of resources
  • Assist in the implementation of processes and practices (i.e. Standing Orders, SOPs, etc.)
  • Support the NL Air Ambulance operations which may include flying as Captain and/or Training Manager, mentoring pilots, day-to-day management of operations
  • Represent Air Ambulance Services in operational meetings as required
  • Ensure operations are executed in alignment with defined company policies and procedures
  • Liaison with NL Air Ambulance stakeholders including client relations
  • Collaborate with the Chief Pilot with regards to Aircrew standards, training requirements, and Simulator Training plans
  • Support the business development team to pursue growth and business development opportunities for Air Ambulance services
  • Identify any areas of non-compliance with a corrective action plan
  • Support the Director of Air Ambulance services in annual budgets and departmental financial analysis for Air Ambulance services
  • Support the recruitment of the Air Ambulance team
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2000 hours total time
  • 1000 hours of PIC time
  • Valid ATPL
  • Instrument Rating
  • Multi-Engine Rating
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role
  • International knowledge of Regulations & Policies
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
