ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

NL Health Services ? Labrador-Grenfell Zone is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join the team at the Labrador West Health Centre in Labrador City, NL. This is an excellent opportunity to practice full-scope family medicine in a collaborative environment while contributing to high-quality patient care in the region. This opportunity is available immediately.

Labrador City is a vibrant northern community offering a safe and welcoming environment with access to outstanding outdoor recreation and a strong sense of community. The successful candidate will enjoy a broad scope of practice and work closely with a supportive interdisciplinary team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)
  • Must satisfy credentialing requirements of the Labrador-Grenfell Zone
  • Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
  • Relevant clinical experience (asset)
  • Satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority
  • Satisfactory record of work performance and attendance

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide full scope of practice including obstetrics, emergency medicine, and family medicine
  • Provide on-call coverage including weekends and holidays
  • Work collaboratively with a team of physicians and nurses to deliver required services
  • Support person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements

REMUNERATION

Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Base Salary: $198,724 ? $215,097

Available Incentives:

  • Physician Signing Bonus ? $150,000 + $25,000 top-up
  • Physician Recruitment Incentive Pilot ? $300,000 ($150,000 per year)
  • Come Home Incentive ? $100,000 (if eligibility criteria are met)
