ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
NL Health Services ? Labrador-Grenfell Zone is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL. The team consists of family physicians, mental health counselors, and allied health professionals. QUALIFICATIONS
- Eligible for registration and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)
- Must satisfy credentialing requirements of the Labrador-Grenfell Zone
- Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
- Relevant clinical experience (asset)
- Satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority
- Satisfactory record of work performance and attendance
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide psychiatric evaluation, treatment planning, and medication management services
- Support the Mental Health Unit in Happy Valley-Goose Bay as part of a collaborative care team
- Provide consulting services across the Labrador-Grenfell Zone
- Deliver ambulatory care clinics via telemedicine link at Labrador Health Centre, Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital, and Labrador West Health Centre
- Support mental health services throughout the broader Labrador-Grenfell Zone
- Provide on-call coverage for Psychiatry
- Work collaboratively with a team of physicians and other health professionals
- Support person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements
REMUNERATION
Remuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Base Salary: $263,672 ? $285,596 (Not including retention bonus, recognition of on-call responsibilities, and other applicable premiums.)
Available Incentives:
- Physician Signing Bonus ? $150,000 + $25,000 top-up (contact recruiter for details)
