In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement fundraising operations strategies, standards, and initiatives that strengthen donor engagement and philanthropic revenue growth (through portfolio and pipeline management).

• Support Relationship Managers and philanthropy leaders to identify, prioritize, and advance prospects through research, analysis, moves management, and segmentation, and to develop tailored engagement, cultivation, and stewardship strategies that grow the pipeline.

• Plan, execute, and evaluate donor engagement and retention initiatives to strengthen donor relationships and support revenue targets.

• Track and analyze pipeline and portfolio performance metrics, maintain accurate records and coding discipline in the fundraising database, and adjust standards and approaches as needed to improve outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., Prospect Research, Analytics, and Philanthropy leadership) to ensure alignment between fundraising efforts and organizational priorities and to support a consistent fundraiser workflow.

• Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities, monitor trends, and recommend improvements that optimize fundraising operations, data quality, and pipeline movement.

• Adhere to ethical fundraising standards, donor privacy regulations, and industry best practices to maintain donor trust and organizational integrity.

• Provide guidance, tools, and quality review to staff involved in pipeline and portfolio processes to enhance service delivery and consistent execution.

What we are looking for:

• Qualifications include a minimum of 6-9 years experience and a 3-year college diploma or university degree in philanthropy, fundraising, business administration, marketing or related field and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Requires expertise in a specialized discipline or broad experience across fields, along with an understanding of interconnections between processes and business units.

• Experience in philanthropy and fundraising, including major gifts, planned giving, annual giving, monthly giving and/or digital and direct mail campaigns (experience supporting major giving operations and moves management is an asset).

• Proficiency in standard computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and fundraising databases.

• Strong knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices, including donor experience, engagement, stewardship, retention and recognition strategies.

• Ability to identify complex problems, analyze interrelated factors, assess and mitigate risks, and develop solutions using specialized skills.

• Communication and influence skills to gather perspectives, understand needs, and present information to reach consensus, often in somewhat sensitive situations.

• Fluency in English is required; French is an asset.

Nice to have / Assets (position-specific):

• Advanced proficiency with Blackbaud CRM (or comparable enterprise fundraising CRM), including workflow configuration, data quality practices, and reporting/dashboards.

• Experience facilitating recurring portfolio reviews with fundraisers/leaders and translating analytics into prioritized actions to improve pipeline movement.

• Experience in data governance, segmentation, and pipeline analytics; familiarity with automation and alerting to support consistent moves management.

• Experience evaluating and operationalizing AI-enabled insights safely and responsibly within fundraising operations (where approved).
