CENTRE FOR RESEARCH IN INTEGRATED CARE
The Centre for Research in Integrated Care (CRIC) is based out of UNB Saint John. CRIC is a living laboratory that develops and evaluates integrated patient-centred models of care for individuals with complex care needs, their families, and members of the care team.

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Research Program Manager, the Research and Network Coordinator will work closely with the centre's Director, Associate Director and Research Program Manager to establish a provincial practice-based research and learning network (PBRLN) in New Brunswick that connects primary care clinics to support shared learning, quality improvement, and health services research. The successful candidate will also design, lead and conduct a large-scale research project on the implementation of the network in the province.

  • Build, strengthen, and maintain strategic relationships with clinicians, policy-makers, community members, indigenous partners, and data managers across the province.
  • Coordinate multiple data-sharing and transfer agreements and ensure compliance with ethical, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel throughout New Brunswick to engage and support rural and geographically remote clinic partners.
  • Design a logic model, prepare a research protocol, and prepare research ethics applications.
  • Initiate, design, and lead a comprehensive evaluation of the development of the network.
  • Design surveys and interview questionnaires, manage data collection, conduct data analysis, and present results.
  • Supervise and delegate research staff work to support the evaluation and develop and deliver training to both research staff and support staff as required.
  • Manage and oversee project activities, define roles and timelines, monitor progress, and provide guidance to research and administrative staff.
  • Identify and secure public and private funding to support network sustainability and growth.
  • Prepare and submit grant applications and manage associated timelines and reporting requirements.
  • Secure funding to support participating clinics, including compensation, cost offsets, and engagement incentives.
  • Oversee and lead knowledge translation activities.
  • Present findings to interest-holders through presentations, policy briefs, and reports, and contribute to research publications.
  • Co-author scientific manuscripts for academic publication and prepare reports as required.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • PhD in a relevant discipline.
  • 3-5 years in a coordination role involving collaborating with policy-makers, academics, nonprofits and healthcare sectors.
  • 3-5 years experience designing and conducting research including project design, data collection, analysis, and preparing academic manuscripts.
  • Experience with evaluation projects and mixed-methods research projects.
  • Experience with NVivo or similar qualitative data analysis software as well as statistical software (SAS, STATA, R, MATLAB).
  • Experience training and overseeing staff or trainees.
  • Experience with grant writing for health research initiatives and preparation of reports.
  • Experience with organizing large interest-holder events.

  • Advanced knowledge in developing and conducting large research projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of provincial health systems and health system research.
  • Experience working in large multi-provincial teams would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with training/overseeing research staff and various project interest-holders.
  • Familiarity with online communication platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
  • Strong organizational/time management skills.
  • Verbal and written proficiency in French is considered an asset.
