The Government of New Brunswick is introducing a cloud-based platform that is transforming how we manage finance, procurement, payroll, human resources, and transportation operations. This is one of the largest modernization projects in the province's history impacting every department, school district, and community college.

We need a senior leader who is energized by transformational change and who leads by building strong relationships with their team, with stakeholders, and across many organizations.

The Assistant Business Solution Owner will lead a team of approximately 300 employees through active project delivery and ongoing production support. Success in this role depends as much on understanding and supporting your team as it does on understanding transformational business and technology work.

Need to have (essential qualifications):

  • University degree in Business, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience

  • Experience in coaching and leading multidisciplinary teams

  • Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across departments and with senior leaders

  • Ability to assess risks and make timely, well-informed decisions

The successful candidate will possess the following executive leadership competencies:

The successful candidate will also possess the following technical competencies:

Applicants must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. However, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Preference may be given to candidates with experience:

  • building relationships to support new business processes or services
  • aligning business goals with enterprise goals and solutions
  • working with government (municipal, provincial and federal), particularly with senior government officials

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following operational requirements are also required:

  • Travel throughout the province including regular travel to Fredericton

  • This position may require occasional weekday evening or weekend work

  • Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.

Salary:

Pay Band 10 - $133,042.00 to $146,328.00 per annum
