Job Description
  • Position Title: Functional Group 3, Bell Media, IBEW
  • Company: Bell Media Inc
  • Job Status: Temporary Part time
  • Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia
  • Salary: IBEW Group 3 Wage – As per Collective Agreement
  • Hours of Work: Up to 40 hours per week possible. Overtime as required based on operational needs. Will include working shift work
  • including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Posting Date: March 31, 2026
  • Closing Date: April 14, 2026
Responsabilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Editing on Avid-based systems, or a designated digital editing platform, recording feeds, interviews, studio segments, etc., isolatingclips and other content for VJ's and MMJ's where necessary, and more
  • ENG camera, with some preference given to a candidate with field news gathering experience
  • Ability to use Adobe Photoshop or other photo editing platform
  • Ability to function successfully in iNews
  • Train to, and function in, the Production Automation Assistant position as needed
  • This is a multi-functional position with other duties in the studio and control room
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work well with other technical and editorial team members
  • Ability to trouble-shoot, take direction, and demonstrate flexibility
  • Other duties as assigned
Critical Qualifications
  • Must have a degree or diploma in television production or equivalent post-secondary education and 2 years relevant experience.
    ENG experience necessary
  • Experience with iNews and Adobe Photoshop would be an asset
  • Avid editing experience is a significant asset. Editing experience on other digital platforms, especially Adobe Premiere, is helpful
  • Willingness to train in other technical areas
  • Must thrive working under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Must have basic editorial news sense and ability to lift 45 pounds
  • You need be able to work closely with others in a team setting and be responsible enough to work on your own
  • Willingness to do shift work, including early mornings and nights
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
