Kelly Cove Salmon , a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a dynamic and growing east coast family company with Platinum Member status in the Canada's Best Managed Companies program, has an opening for a Warehouse Worker in our KCS warehouse department based out of Beaver Harbour, New Brunswick.

The Role

The Warehouse Worker will support daily warehouse operations through safe forklift operation, inventory tracking, order preparation, and general housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to safely load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization, including sweeping and keeping work areas free of debris
  • Use a tablet or handheld device to accurately track inventory and update records
  • Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming shipments
  • Prepare and stage orders by pulling product, handling pallets, and placing completed orders in designated delivery areas
  • Follow all safety procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Report safety concerns, incidents, or equipment issues to supervision in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a warehouse worker or in a similar role is preferred
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use tablets or handheld devices for inventory tracking
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving items weighing up to 25 kg
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions:

  • Shift Length: 12-hour shifts (6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.)
  • Continental Shift (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off)
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with regular exposure to moving equipment, forklifts, pallets, and storage racking
  • Requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and manual material handling
  • Must be physically able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 25 kg on a regular basis
  • Operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment is required, following all safety procedures
  • Work areas may be subject to varying temperatures, noise levels, and dust associated with warehouse operations
  • Use of tablets or handheld devices for inventory tracking is required throughout the shift
  • Adherence to all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), is mandatory
