Job Overview

The Brewer is responsible for performing process-orientated work including; Milling operations, Brew house operations, Fermentation and Filtration/Centrifuging Beer, and preparing the final product for packaging.

• Permanent, full time
• 40 hours per week
• Ability to work in rotating shifts Monday-Friday (Some Weekends required)
• Morning: 6:00 AM - 2:30PM
• Afternoon: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Evening: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Essential Responsibilities

• Operating equipment for Brewing, Fermentation and Filtration/Centrifuge processes
• Keeping checks and maintaining parameters related to Milling, Brewing, Fermentation, Filtration /Centrifuge processes
• Keeping accurate records and performing tasks related to processes (Blending, Steeping) of contract products
• Maintaining accurate formats and records related to Brews, Fermentation process, Filtration/ Centrifuge, Etc
• Performs general cleaning duties of Brew House and associated areas and vessels (Fermentation vessels, Bright Beer tanks, Centrifuge, Filter, etc.)
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Ensure safe work practices, use of personal protective equipment
• Provides assistance in packaging when required
• Understand and use standard operation procedures (SOPs)
• Quality sampling, testing, and record-keeping related to the brewing process
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of brewing experience
• Technical Knowledge in all pertinent aspects of the brewing process
• High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education is considered an asset with science subjects (microbiology, biochemistry, etc.)
• Completion of an accredited brewery school program (an asset)
• Forklift experience (an asset)
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Positive attitude & strong work ethics
