The Opportunity

Pictou County Partnership is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead regional economic development at a pivotal moment of growth and change.

As the Regional Enterprise Network serving Pictou County, the Partnership works in collaboration with Pictou Landing First Nation and six municipalities to strengthen the region's economic future.

As CEO, you will lead this work - aligning partners, advancing investment readiness, and positioning Pictou County to compete in emerging sectors such as clean energy, defence, and advanced manufacturing.

This is a unique opportunity to connect local strengths to provincial and national opportunities, translating strong relationships into measurable economic outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Lead execution of the five-year strategic plan and annual business plans
• Align municipalities, Pictou Landing First Nation, businesses, and partners around shared priorities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, aligning priorities and securing resources to support regional outcomes
• Strengthen financial sustainability by accessing funding opportunities and ensuring effective stewardship of resources
• Enhance regional investment readiness and build a pipeline of investment-ready opportunities
• Serve as a visible ambassador and champion for Pictou County

Who You Are

• An experienced senior leader with accountability for people, budgets, and results
• A strong relationship builder across government, business, community and funders
• Able to translate strategy into action and deliver measurable outcomes
• Financially confident, with experience managing resources and navigating funding environments
• Comfortable operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments

Location
This role is based in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Candidates open to relocating - including those with roots in the region - are encouraged to apply.
